This featherweight daypack can be easily stashed in your pocket or on your keyring, yet it offers 18L of carrying space. The asymmetrical zipper and siliconized Ultra-Sil Nano fabric makes for a compressible daypack that packs down to the size of an egg. Its construction gives it strength beyond its 1 oz / 30g weight, however, the non-padded shoulder straps keep our recommended maximum comfort load limit to 10 lbs / 4 Kg.

Can this bag hold heavy weights?

The seams and materials will support loads up to 10 lbs/ 4kg. However, the shoulder straps aren't padded, adjustable, or designed specifically for carrying a lot of weight. For heavier hauls, we recommend our UltraSil Daypack.

Is it durable?

With correct care, this pack can last many seasons. Even in the urban environments that it was designed for, sharp objects or abrasive surfaces can damage the fabric, while stress can damage the ultralight zipper.

Is it waterproof?

No. It's only water-resistant. Even though the pack is made with waterproof material, water can enter through the seams (which are not sealed) and zipper. A few minutes of light rain is okay, but getting stuck in a downpour would likely result in the contents of the pack getting wet.

What are the differences between the Ultra-Sil and Ultra-Sil Nano day packs?

The Ultra-Sil Day Pack is made from 30D Ultra-Sil Cordura nylon and includes adjustable shoulder straps and a daisy-chain webbing loop. It has a two-way zipper closure with a generous opening and weighs 2.5oz/ 72g.

The Ultra-Sil Nano Day Pack is more compact (packing down to the size of an egg) and made from 15D. It weighs 1oz/ 30g. With an asymmetrical zipper, lightweight fabric, and slightly smaller capacity (18L vs 20L), the Nano is a great option for those that need to save on weight and space.
